Terms of Service

The rules and guidelines for using DPCFinder

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DPCFinder website and services. By accessing or using DPCFinder, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing DPCFinder, creating an account, subscribing to our newsletter, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using DPCFinder on behalf of a medical practice or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

DPCFinder provides:

  • Free directory of DPC practices — a publicly searchable directory of Direct Primary Care practices across the United States, available to patients at no cost.
  • Premium listing services — paid subscription plans for DPC practices that include enhanced profiles, lead generation, priority placement, and additional marketing features.
  • Educational content — articles, guides, and newsletters about Direct Primary Care to help patients understand their healthcare options.
  • Lead generation — contact forms that allow patients to reach out to DPC practices directly through our platform.

3. User Accounts

DPC practices may create accounts to claim and manage their directory listings. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your practice.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with unauthorized parties.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide false information.

4. Listing Accuracy & Data

DPCFinder compiles practice information from publicly available sources, including practice websites, public directories, and state medical board records. We strive for accuracy, but we cannot guarantee that all listing information is current or complete.

  • Claiming a listing — practice owners and authorized representatives can claim their listing to verify and update their information.
  • Corrections — if you find inaccurate information about your practice, you can claim your listing to make corrections or contact us to request changes.
  • Removal requests — practice owners may request removal of their listing by contacting us. We will process removal requests within 10 business days.
  • Data sourcing — by claiming a listing, you consent to DPCFinder displaying your practice information in our directory. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

5. Payment Terms

Premium listing subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

  • Billing — subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. All prices are in US dollars.
  • Payment processing — all payment information is handled directly by Stripe. DPCFinder does not store your credit card details on our servers.
  • Cancellation — you may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds — we do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge.
  • Price changes— we may adjust subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DPCFinder to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent practice information.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from our site in an automated manner without written permission.
  • Interfere with the operation of our website or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
  • Use our contact forms to send spam, solicitations, or unsolicited marketing.
  • Impersonate a practice, physician, or other entity you are not authorized to represent.

7. Limitation of Liability

Important: DPCFinder is a directory service, not a healthcare provider.

Nothing on DPCFinder constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult directly with a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

  • DPCFinder is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any practice listing, including pricing, services offered, or availability.
  • We are not responsible for the quality of care provided by any practice listed in our directory.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, DPCFinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of DPCFinder shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The DPCFinder name, logo, website design, original content, and software are the intellectual property of DPCFinder and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
  • Practice listings that include content provided by practices remain the intellectual property of those practices.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
  • By submitting content to DPCFinder (such as practice descriptions or images), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on our platform for the purpose of operating the directory.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to DPCFinder at our discretion if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service.
  • You provide false or misleading information in your practice listing.
  • Your account is used for unauthorized or fraudulent activity.
  • Your payment method fails and is not resolved within 14 days.

Upon termination, your right to use our paid services will cease immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. For material changes, we will provide notice through our website or by email to registered users at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of DPCFinder after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DPCFinder shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
